Rodri Declares Manchester…

Rodri has pledged that Manchester City will continue to battle until the very last moment, even as they trail behind Arsenal by seven points in the race for the Premier League title.

Ahead of their match against Manchester United, City midfielder Tijjani Reijnders expressed that the team was “pretty confident of catching Arsenal, to be honest.”

Reijnders added: “Matches like this are crucial. Winning can boost confidence and momentum can shift rapidly in football.”

However, City ended up losing the game 2-0, a scoreline that did not reflect their performance as Gianluigi Donnarumma’s outstanding goalkeeping and United’s three disallowed goals played a significant role.

Rodri remains optimistic, stating that City will learn from the defeat and continue to compete until the end of the season.

“Football is like this. You lose, you learn, and then you move forward,” Rodri remarked.

“We’ve dropped a lot of points recently, but we still hold a second or third position. We are determined to fight until the very end.”

This week, opportunities may arise for City to shift the momentum in their favor. While Pep Guardiola’s team will host Wolves, Arsenal will face off against the team that recent defeated them—Manchester United.

Additionally, City has a more favorable lead-up to the weekend, playing Bodo/Glimt on Tuesday, while Arsenal faces Inter Milan.

While City faces tough fixtures ahead, including challenging away games against premier rivals Spurs and Liverpool, a seven-point gap certainly does not dismiss the possibility of a quick turnaround for both teams at the top of the table.
