As reported by Gianluca Di Marzio, Mancini has sustained a lesion to his right adductor muscle following examinations conducted today.

The Italian defender was substituted during the Giallorossi’s match against Inter yesterday after suffering a blow.

At 29 years old, Mancini is expected to be out for a minimum of 2-3 weeks, with further assessments to follow to determine his recovery timeline. He may potentially return in time for the match against Fiorentina next month, but he will definitely miss upcoming fixtures against Pisa, Atalanta, and Bologna this month.

Following Mancini’s departure, Roma’s head coach Gian Piero Gasperini brought on Daniele Ghilardi during the 5-2 loss against the Nerazzurri. This defeat has placed Roma in 6th place in the standings, closely monitored by 7th-placed Atalanta, who could surpass them depending on the outcomes of the next matchday.
