AS Roma is actively pursuing Mason Greenwood as their primary target to enhance Gian Piero Gasperini’s attacking options.
Following preliminary discussions and assessments in recent weeks, the club has reportedly come to an agreement with Greenwood, who is poised to sign a contract valued at just under €5 million per season.

This significant agreement highlights the English player’s eagerness for a fresh start and his interest in joining the club in the capital.
According to Il Messaggero, the next step lies with the club’s ownership. The Friedkin family is prepared to have direct talks with Frank McCourt, the American owner of Marseille, to facilitate the deal.
Roma has reportedly prepared an initial offer of €40 million plus bonuses, but Marseille is said to be seeking €50 million along with additional bonuses.
The official offer will be made after June 30th, which aims to signal to UEFA that Roma has been focused almost entirely on resolving the capital gains issue during this month.

Gasperini hopes to have Greenwood on board by July 13th, coinciding with the start of the training camp at Trigoria. The player is also enthusiastic about embarking on a new journey and the opportunity to compete in the Champions League with Roma.
