Bologna is reportedly eyeing a deal for Borussia Dortmund midfielder Marcel Sabitzer, with sources suggesting the experienced Austria international could be available at a good price.
As reported by Sportowy journalist Ekrem Konur, the 32-year-old’s contract will not be renewed, making him a potential free agent at the end of the current season.
Given this situation, a summer sale may present Dortmund’s final opportunity to secure a transfer fee for the player, prompting discussions that could lead to an offer in the coming days.

Bologna is looking to strengthen the squad under their new coach Domenico Tedesco, who has replaced Vincenzo Italiano this season.
Sabitzer has an extensive career, having previously played for RB Leipzig, Bayern Munich, and Manchester United before his €19 million transfer to Borussia Dortmund in 2023.

He has also earned 102 senior caps for Austria, scoring 27 goals from midfield.
Last season, he made 34 competitive appearances for Borussia Dortmund, scoring once and providing four assists.
His performance marked a return to form after recovering from a collateral medial tear in his knee in March 2025.
Sabitzer has been linked to a move to Serie A in recent years, most notably with Roma.
