Salah Concern as Slot Gets…

Despite Liverpool’s recent struggles, sources have informed BBC Sport that Arne Slot’s job is not currently in jeopardy.

He enjoys a level of trust due to his success in winning the Premier League title during his first season, and there has been recognition at Anfield of the challenges faced over the past summer, including the tragic loss of Diogo Jota and a £400 million investment aimed at rejuvenating the squad.

Sporting director Hughes and chief executive Michael Edwards played vital roles in Slot’s recruitment, and the Dutch manager still has their support.

Liverpool is known for its thoughtful decision-making; they allowed Brendan Rodgers over three seasons as manager, even after finishing outside the top four on two occasions.

However, there are growing concerns internally regarding Mohamed Salah’s performances, with a marked decline in his form.

As their leading forward, it’s noteworthy that Liverpool’s strongest attacking display in the last 12 matches came during a 5-1 victory over Eintracht Frankfurt, in which Salah did not feature as a starter.

Since signing his new contract in April, the Egyptian has scored seven goals in 25 appearances, a solid tally for many, yet he is held to a higher standard due to his exceptional eight-year tenure at the club.

Looking ahead to the January transfer window, Liverpool is keen on reviving their interest in Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi after failing to secure him on the final day of the summer transfer window.

Guehi will be available for a free transfer in July but has numerous offers from clubs in England and across Europe. He can begin negotiations with teams outside of England in just four weeks.
