Last season, Barcelona was celebrated as one of Europe’s most formidable attacking teams, largely thanks to the efforts of Robert Lewandowski, Raphinha, and Lamine Yamal, who wreaked havoc on their opponents.
Despite a long list of injuries hindering their performance this season, it wouldn’t be fair to say they are less threatening than last year.
In fact, the Catalans have already netted an impressive 61 goals across just 22 matches, averaging nearly three goals per game.
12 Different Goalscorers
Additionally, Barcelona boasts 12 distinct players who have contributed to the scoring efforts, highlighting the team’s diverse attacking prowess.
In La Liga alone, Barcelona has played 16 matches this season, scoring 47 goals. In comparison, Real Madrid, reliant primarily on Kylian Mbappe, trails significantly with only 32 goals from the same number of games.
Leading the scoring for Barcelona in La Liga is Ferran Torres, who has tallied 11 goals, closely followed by Robert Lewandowski with eight.

Lamine Yamal has scored six times so far, while Raphinha, Dani Olmo, and Fermin Lopez have netted four each.
Marcus Rashford, Pedri, and Ronald Araujo have each contributed two goals in the league, and Eric Garcia, Jules Kounde, and Roony Bardghji have each scored once, bringing the total to 12 unique goal scorers.
The UCL Equation
However, Barcelona’s scoring in the UEFA Champions League has not been as prolific, with only 14 goals in six matches, averaging just over two goals per game.
In this competition, Marcus Rashford leads the team’s scoring with four goals, followed closely by Fermin Lopez with three. Kounde, Yamal, and Torres have each contributed two.
Despite this, the reality is that matches in the Champions League have exhibited a tighter nature, with Barcelona missing numerous scoring opportunities. Furthermore, clubs like PSG, Bayern Munich, and Borussia Dortmund have significantly outpaced the Catalans in total goals.
