Steve Clarke’s Scotland is set to face the Ivory Coast for the first time at Everton’s Hill Dickinson Stadium on March 31, as part of their preparations for the World Cup.
The match will kick off at 19:30 BST, just three days after Scotland hosts Japan at Hampden.
Clarke’s team secured their spot in this summer’s finals by dramatically finishing at the top of their qualifying group. They will also play against Curacao in Glasgow on May 30.
Scotland will start their World Cup group campaign against Haiti in Boston on June 14, followed by matches against Morocco and Brazil.
The Ivory Coast, who reached the quarter-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations, will also compete in this year’s World Cup.
Emerse Fae’s squad will take on Ecuador, Germany, and Curacao during the finals.
“We wanted to face African competition ahead of our match against Morocco in the summer, and I’m confident that Côte d’Ivoire will provide us with a tough challenge,” said Clarke.
“It will also be exciting to play at the Hill Dickinson Stadium in Liverpool. The fans will appreciate the opportunity to visit this new venue.”
