Serie A 2025 Awards: McTominay Player of the Year
The Gran Gala del Calcio Awards honored the Top 11 players from the 2024-25 Serie A season, featuring notable names such as Scott McTominay, Lautaro Martinez, and Tijjani Reijnders.
The awards ceremony took place in Milan, serving as Italy’s counterpart to the PFA Awards.

Napoli midfielder Scott McTominay received the prestigious Serie A Player of the Season award, following his contributions to the team’s victories in the Scudetto in both 2023 and 2025.

The title race concluded dramatically, leading to a strong representation from Inter and Napoli in the Top 11, including Denzel Dumfries, Amir Rrahmani, Alessandro Bastoni, Federico Dimarco, McTominay, Nicolò Barella, and Lautaro Martinez.
Additionally, two players who have moved on from Serie A are highlighted: Reijnders transferred from AC Milan to Manchester City, and top scorer Mateo Retegui left Atalanta for Al-Qadsiah.

In addition to the Top 11, individual accolades were awarded to Antonio Conte as Coach of the Year and Napoli as Club of the Year.
Inter striker Francesco Pio Esposito was recognized as the Italian Golden Boy for his outstanding performances as the best young player, while Udinese defender Nicolò Bertola earned the Best Young Serie B Player award, thanks to his prior season at Spezia.
Cagliari’s defender Alessandro Deiola clinched the Goal of the Year award for his remarkable team goal in a 3-0 triumph over Venezia in May 2025, a goal that was also nominated for the prestigious FIFA Puskas Award.
