In tonight’s Derby del Sole, both Napoli and Roma have made necessary adjustments, with Rasmus Hojlund and Matteo Politano stepping in for Donyell Malen and Bryan Zaragoza.

The match will kick off at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona at 19:45 GMT (20:45 CET).

This match was once seen as a Scudetto battle, but now it appears to be a crucial face-off for third place.

Both teams are missing significant players; Scott McTominay has not recovered from the tendon inflammation that caused him to leave the pitch during the 3-2 victory over Genoa.

He will join Giovanni Di Lorenzo, David Neres, Andre Frank Zambo Anguissa, and Kevin De Bruyne in the stands, while Juan Jesus is serving a suspension.

Napoli also faced a challenging midweek fixture, as they were eliminated from the Coppa Italia in a dramatic penalty shoot-out against Como.

Eljif Elmas has been moved to midfield, while Politano has returned from injury to join Antonio Vergara and Hojlund in the forward line.

Sam Beukema has stepped into defense, and Alessandro Buongiorno is back after his disappointing showing against Genoa.

Roma is grappling with its own set of issues, as Paulo Dybala, Manu Kone, Artem Dovbyk, Evan Ferguson, and Stephan El Shaarawy have all been left behind in the capital.

Matias Soulé is also dealing with a recurring groin injury, paving the way for January signing Zaragoza to make his first start, joining Lorenzo Pellegrini to bolster Malen’s attack.

The striker on loan from Aston Villa has had an impressive start in Serie A, scoring three goals in his first four matches, including both goals in their 2-0 victory over Cagliari, which ended a three-match winless streak across all competitions.

Nicolò Pisilli has been chosen over Neil El Aynaoui for the midfield, as Mario Hermoso is not yet fully fit to feature in defense.
