Sir Dave Brailsford…

Sir Dave Brailsford is no longer a director at Manchester United, according to a filing confirmed by the Premier League club.

The 62-year-old contributed significantly before and after Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s minority takeover of the club in February 2024, which led to Brailsford stepping down as team principal of the INEOS Grenadiers cycling team.

However, it was reported last June that Brailsford’s responsibilities at the club were to be reduced in light of a restructuring, allowing him to return to his position as director of sport for the broader INEOS group.

The formal conclusion of his time with United was recorded on April 30, as confirmed by a document published on Companies House, marking the end of his directorship at the club.

Brailsford was appointed as a director on February 19, 2024, and the club finished 15th, suffering a loss in the Europa League final during his first and only complete season.

Currently, United occupies third place in the Premier League standings, having secured Champions League qualification with three matches remaining.
