Manchester City has reached an agreement with Everton to sign winger Iliman Ndiaye, according to sources from ESPN.
The transfer will see Ndiaye move to the Etihad Stadium for an initial fee of £60 million ($81 million), with an additional £5 million ($6.7 million) in potential add-ons. He has been granted permission to undergo a medical examination, with the transfer expected to finalize on Tuesday.
City reignited their interest in the Senegal international, who was also pursued by Tottenham Hotspur, after Liverpool turned down an offer for Cody Gakpo.
Ndiaye’s addition will strengthen Enzo Maresca’s attacking options following the exits of Savinho and Omar Marmoush to Spurs.
On Monday, City confirmed the signing of Brazilian winger Allan Elias after finalizing a £32 million ($43.3 million) deal with Palmeiras.
During his three seasons at Everton, Ndiaye scored 17 goals in 74 appearances. The 26-year-old featured in Everton’s first two matches of the current Premier League season, leading his team to victory over Crystal Palace and a draw against Bournemouth.
