Tottenham defender Ben Davies has scored his first goal in over two years, helping the London club take the lead against Sunderland in their Premier League match.
After thirty minutes of play in North London, Thomas Frank’s team went ahead when the visitors failed to clear a corner.
Although Micky van de Ven initiated the shot, it was Davies who made the final touch to send the ball into the net.
The goal, officially credited to the Welsh player, marked his first Premier League strike since December 2021, when he scored against Brighton.
This match also marks Davies’ first start of the season, and it represents Tottenham’s initial goal for the year 2026.
Can Spurs hold onto this critical lead, or will Sunderland find a way to equalize?
