Spurs in perilous…

According to journalist Rory Smith, Tottenham Hotspur find themselves in a “perilous position.” The team has not won a league match since December 28 and is currently placed 16th in the standings, just four points above the relegation zone.

Chris Sutton, a former Premier League striker, shared on Monday Night Club that he believes Spurs have some manageable fixtures ahead as they seek to improve after a disappointing debut match under new manager Igor Tudor, which saw them suffer a heavy defeat against Arsenal.

However, Sutton expressed skepticism about Tudor’s reputation for short-term management, wondering, “Is he a good manager or is there something fundamentally wrong with him, considering the number of clubs he’s been with?”

The Observer’s football correspondent, Smith, emphasized the dire state of Tottenham’s home form, saying, “I cannot overstate how poor it is.” He questioned Tudor’s coaching abilities, remarking, “While I’m not sure if he’s a great coach, he might have a future in public relations. He presents himself as someone who can rescue teams from relegation and then moves on, but that might not have been his intention at those past clubs.”

Smith continued, “He doesn’t seem to stay long, and I’m not certain that was ever part of the plan. Whenever a manager references fitness, I find it hard to believe. It’s absurd to suggest that Thomas Frank let players come in at 11 am—they’d have been fit regardless.”
