Pascal Struijk, the latest addition to Brighton, emphasized that the club’s playing style significantly influenced his decision to join.

Brighton recently signed the defender from Leeds United on Tuesday. The 26-year-old noted that the club’s management and successful track record were pivotal in his choice to relocate to the south coast.

“I admire how Brighton nurtures player development,” Struijk remarked during an interview on the club website.

“Their approach over the years has proven successful, and now competing in Europe is an exciting opportunity for me. This is the step I wanted to take to further my development as a player and to challenge myself to improve.”

“The style of football they play is very appealing. It’s exhilarating to watch—intense and skilled. Observing how they conquer top teams is impressive, and I am eager to contribute to this dynamic.”

Brighton will participate in European competitions for the second time in three years, entering the Conference League play-offs in August. Struijk mentioned this accomplishment was also a key factor in his decision to join the Seagulls.

“As a child, I always dreamed of competing on international stages, so seeing Brighton achieve this was a significant influence on my decision to join the club,” he explained.

“There are multiple factors, but this is certainly vital, and I look forward to facing new challenges and contributing to the team’s success.” He added, “I can’t wait to showcase my skills in the Premier League and internationally as part of this talented team.”
