Taffarel Criticizes Emeron…

Taffarel, the goalkeeper coach for the Brazilian National Team, issued a pointed critique of Emerson Leão this Sunday (9).

In a post on social media, he remarked that the former goalkeeper and coach “cannot comment on Ancelotti” and described him as “arrogant and overbearing.”

The two collaborated in 1997 when Taffarel was the goalkeeper for Atlético-MG under Leão’s direction as the team’s coach.

“Regrettably, I have very negative memories of your management, belittling employees and those beneath you. It’s best for you to stay quiet for a while,”

said Taffarel in his social media post.

This response came shortly after Leão expressed his opposition to the involvement of foreign coaches in Brazil.

Leão made this statement during an event held at the CBF headquarters, where Carlo Ancelotti, the current coach of Brazil, was also present.

At the same event, Oswaldo de Oliveira backed Leão and echoed his sentiments against foreign coaches in the country.
