Tottenham drops to Premier…

West Ham United has successfully moved out of the Premier League relegation zone for the first time since December, thanks to a dominant 4-0 win over Wolves at the London Stadium.

This result has left their north London rivals, Tottenham, in the relegation zone.

Konstantinos Mavropanos kicked off the scoring with a header in the first half and later added another goal, while Taty Castellanos netted twice within two minutes in the middle of the second half, confirming a resounding victory.

Initially appearing nervous, Nuno Espirito Santo’s team was able to overcome their shaky start and dismantle the team at the bottom of the league.

This victory signifies a remarkable turnaround for the Hammers, who were seven points away from safety and had not won in 10 matches following a defeat to Nottingham Forest in January.

With five wins in their last 11 games and Tottenham’s decline, West Ham is now in a better position to fight for survival.

Mavropanos’s first goal, scored just before halftime from a cross by Jarrod Bowen, was crucial in allowing Castellanos to increase his tally for the club.

This defeat ended Wolves’ brief refresh after three unbeaten games, and they now face potential relegation next week against Leeds.

Crysencio Summerville had an excellent chance to give West Ham the lead early on but misfired, sending the ball high over the crossbar after staying onside to receive a pass from Mateus Fernandes.

Pablo’s impressive footwork led to a chance for Bowen, who unfortunately shot weakly, allowing the goalkeeper, Jose Sa, to make an easy save.

West Ham’s inefficiency in front of the goal and lack of precision created a tense atmosphere among fans.

El Hadji Malick Diouf’s unnecessary turnover in his own half frustrated home supporters as it provided Adam Armstrong with a chance that went just over the bar.

Armstrong also had Wolves’ best opportunity of the first half with a header that was firmly caught by Mads Hermansen.

Ladislav Krejci blocked a follow-up shot from Bowen after Mavropanos’s assist, signaling the warning of West Ham’s escalating threat before they finally breached Wolves’ defense just before halftime.

A failure to clear a corner allowed Bowen to cross for Mavropanos, who scored with a well-placed header into the corner of the net.

Only an impressive low save from Sa kept Pablo from giving West Ham a two-goal lead at halftime.

A frenetic two minutes at the beginning of the second half saw both teams hit the post; Wolves from a free-kick by Angel Gomes and then Bowen hitting the woodwork after cutting in from the right.

Castellanos calmed the home supporters with a precise finish into the corner, set up by a creative back-heel from Pablo.

Immediately following the kick-off, Wolves turned the ball over to Bowen, who quickly assisted Castellanos, who scored his second and West Ham’s third by finding the net off the post.

Mavropanos capped off the scoring with a late fourth for West Ham, displaying their continued momentum.
