Tottenham Hotspur has officially announced the signing of Liverpool defender Andy Robertson, who will join the club on July 1.
The Scotland captain has made the move as a free agent, concluding a remarkable nine-year tenure at Anfield.

The club confirmed the deal on Friday, with manager Roberto De Zerbi expressing excitement about the experience and winning mindset that Robertson will contribute to the team.
De Zerbi has long admired the defender and is confident that Robertson’s leadership will be invaluable both on and off the field.
Leaving Liverpool, Robertson is one of the most celebrated full-backs in the club’s modern era, with 378 appearances, 14 goals, and 69 assists to his name.
He played a pivotal role during one of Liverpool’s most successful periods, contributing to their triumphs in two Premier League titles, the Champions League, the FA Cup, and two League Cups.

Known for his exceptional energy, attacking prowess, and consistency, Robertson thrived under Jurgen Klopp’s management.
Together with former teammate Trent Alexander-Arnold, he helped redefine the modern attacking full-back role and was crucial in Liverpool’s domestic and European conquests.
In the previous season, Robertson made 36 appearances across all competitions but started only 11 times in the Premier League as the club increasingly favored a younger option for the left-back position.
This shift ultimately led to his departure as his contract expired this summer.

Tottenham had shown interest in signing Robertson during the winter transfer window; however, Liverpool opted not to allow a mid-season transfer.
Interest was reignited once it became evident that he would be available on a free transfer.
Robertson’s signing is yet another declaration of intent from Spurs as they aim to build under De Zerbi, striving to progress after securing their Premier League status on the season’s final day.
