Trios Growth: A Real…

On Saturday night, both fans and players likely had Mikey Moore’s impressive performance etched in their minds, as the young Tottenham loanee wreaked havoc against our rivals from the northeast.

I was curious to see how Aberdeen would approach the match, eager to disrupt our season as they often attempt to do.

Fortunately for Rangers, our players were fully charged, netting four fantastic goals and dominating the pitch against Aberdeen. Their solitary goal stemmed from our complacency in the second half.

To be honest, a 4-1 scoreline was generous to Aberdeen; the outcome could have been far more lopsided. We’ve faced them three times this season, and each match has ended in a comfortable victory for us.

Numerous standout performances contributed to this latest win. In defense, Nasser Djiga and Manny Fernandez are forging a solid partnership, allowing us to build from a strong foundation. They effectively neutralized Kevin Nisbet.

In midfield, Nico Raskin and Tochi Chukwuani were exceptional, each finding the net and being pivotal in our play. Chukwuani’s knack for securing second balls has been a missing element for us, and his goal was brilliantly executed.

Finally, Moore was outstanding. Witnessing the development of him, Fernandez, and Djiga over the past few weeks has been rewarding, and it truly showcases the work of Danny Rohl and his coaching staff.

The upcoming international break arrives at an inconvenient time. Having successfully navigated challenging fixtures against St Mirren and Aberdeen, we’ve climbed to second place, two points ahead of Celtic.

The way we defeated Aberdeen was particularly gratifying. After proving our ability to grind out results in Paisley, this latest match demonstrated our capacity to play with flair. It’s just unfortunate that we have to wait two weeks before returning to Ibrox for league action.
