Udinese has announced that it will host Barcelona and Nottingham Forest in a new tournament, the Friuli Venezia Giulia Cup, scheduled for August 8 at the Bluenergy Stadium.
This stadium is recognized as one of the most modern arenas in Italian football and will also host the 2025 UEFA Super Cup.
As the venue gears up for this exciting new event, it will once again shine as a key location in the football calendar.

Barcelona previously faced Udinese in a Champions League match at this stadium in December 2005, while it will mark Nottingham Forest’s first appearance at the venue.
The tournament consists of three games, each lasting 45 minutes, to determine the winner of the trophy.
The schedule kicks off with Udinese vs. Nottingham Forest at 20:00 local time (19:00 UK), followed by Barcelona vs. Nottingham Forest, and concludes with Udinese facing Barcelona.
In cases of a tie at the end of regulation, matches will go straight to penalty shootouts. Teams earn three points for a win in regulation and two points for winning on penalties, while the losing team gets one point.
