Notable Bologna player: Jonathan Rowe – Delivered a dynamic performance, scoring a goal and providing an assist before his substitution about twenty minutes from the end. Constantly threatened the Roma defense and was rightly withdrawn as he began to tire.
Sub-par performance: Remo Freuler – Gave away the penalty that sparked Roma’s comeback and was fortunate that his team still progressed. Overall, his performance was lackluster and he was substituted in the closing moments of extra time after putting in maximum effort.
Coach: Vincenzo Italiano 7.5 – Outperformed Gasperini on the night, despite a scare in the second half. Successfully led his side to the Stadio Olimpico, where they had previously won the Coppa Italia, guiding them to a victory of similar significance.
