Carlo Ancelotti is steering the formidable Brazil squad into Florida for a rematch against Croatia, following their exit in the quarterfinals of the 2022 World Cup.
Brazil and Croatia have faced off in three of the last five World Cups. The Selecao claimed victory in their Group F opener at Germany 2006, followed by a 3-1 win led by a Neymar brace during the Group A opener at Brazil 2014. However, Croatia ended Brazil’s run in Qatar 2022 with a dramatic penalty shootout, tying 1-1 before winning 4-2 on penalties.

Recently, Brazil has been trying out new players but has stumbled, losing three out of their last six matches, including a 2-1 defeat to 10-man France in New England on Thursday.
Croatia, on the other hand, has only lost once since the start of 2025—a Nations League quarterfinal that ultimately went to penalties against France in Saint-Denis. While they haven’t faced a daunting schedule since that match, they come off a solid 2-1 win against Colombia in Orlando.
They won’t need to leave town for their preparations, as the match will also be held at Camping World Stadium.

Vinicius Junior and Matheus Cunha shined in Brazil’s offense against France, complemented by a strong showing from Casemiro. However, Vinicius reportedly has a thigh issue and missed training, raising doubts about his availability against Croatia. Notable Premier League players Ederson, Gabriel Martinelli, and Raphinha also featured, with varying performances. Luiz Henrique came off the bench and assisted Bremer’s goal, the only score for Brazil in the loss to France. Might we see starts for Chelsea’s Joao Pedro, Brentford’s Igor Thiago, or Bournemouth’s Rayan on Tuesday?

This Croatian squad boasts considerable experience, with Ivan Perisic starting at left wing back against Colombia. Veteran goalkeeper Dominik Livakovic made four crucial saves, and center back Marin Pongracic is in his prime. Luka Modric and Andrej Kramaric were substitutes but expect in-form Osasuna striker Ante Budimir and Wolfsburg’s Lovro Maier to aim for strong performances.
Brazil vs. Croatia prediction
Expect a competitive match, but Ancelotti’s squad will be eager to end this break on a high note, fueling hopes for a deep World Cup run. Brazil 2-1 Croatia.
