In his pre-match press conference, Ho stressed that Spurs must deliver their best display to secure three points in the encounter.
“We find ourselves in a favorable position, but they are experiencing a strong run of form,” Ho remarked. “They possess a solid squad and a great manager who has led them to impressive results. Their performances reflect this, and we recognize that we need to be at our peak.”
Entering the match with a streak of consecutive clean sheets, Ho pointed out that his team must excel at both ends of the pitch.
“We understand that Natalia’s [Arroyo] teams play with great intensity and are proactive,” he noted. “They defend well in their own half, but are also dynamic in attack; their aggression on the ball, along with clever movement in the midfield and attacking third, aids their build-up play, which is executed calmly from the back.”

“We know we must defend with similar intensity. Our focus must be on achieving defensive consistency. We need to be comfortable with moments of pressure and also proactive and assertive when pressing higher up the pitch.”
“The players are stepping onto the pitch full of confidence, especially in defense, yet we acknowledge the need to enhance our attacking play in the midfield and forward areas, focusing on chance conversion, creation, and getting into goal-scoring positions.”
Speaking about the recent clean sheets, Ho praised his players for their dedication and effort.
“I take pride in the craft of defending, which can sometimes be overshadowed by the more glamorous aspects of football. I want our team to be organized, difficult to break through, and tenacious in defense while maintaining passion and commitment.”

“A significant part of the credit goes to the squad; their hard work on the pitch is commendable. While I can encourage and provide a framework, it’s ultimately up to them to cultivate the desire to defend.”
“We train extensively on one-on-one defending and on defending effectively in and around our box since it’s the most critical area. We provide them with tools and the confidence to excel, but much of their success comes from their dedication, as they train hard, work diligently, and put themselves between the ball and the goal. They deserve the recognition for their efforts.”
Tottenham Hotspur will kick off their Barclays Women’s Super League match against Aston Villa at 12pm this Sunday. Tickets will be available for purchase on match day at the BetWright Stadium.
