WEAK: Former Premier…

Liverpool managed to put a temporary stop to their recent struggles by securing victories against Aston Villa and Real Madrid.

It seemed the Reds had found their stride under Arne Slot, rekindling their winning ways. However, the situation has again soured with the latest defeat tarnishing their momentum.

This past Sunday, Liverpool fell to a 3-0 defeat against Manchester City in the Premier League, marking their fifth loss of the current league season. They’ve now suffered four consecutive defeats on the road.

Despite a hefty investment of £450 million to bolster their squad for the 2024/25 title hunt, Liverpool appears to be regressing instead of progressing.

Liverpool Seeking Inspiration

New faces like Alexander Isak and Florian Wirtz have yet to make a significant impact, while existing players struggle with consistency.

High expectations surrounded Liverpool following the transfer window and their strong start in the 2025/26 season.

However, those promising times feel distant as the Reds confront the harsh reality of potentially losing their Premier League title.

Former Manchester United captain Roy Keane has labeled the situation as “CRISIS mode” for Liverpool ahead of the international break. He highlighted the team’s recent defeats, insisting they are capable of much better.

Roy Keane Declares Liverpool in Crisis

“I believe it’s crisis time for Liverpool,” the former Premier League-winning captain stated on Sky Sports. “Losing to a team like Man City is understandable – it’s always a challenging match.

“But to lose seven out of ten matches, with already five league defeats, qualifies as a crisis for a club of Liverpool’s stature.

“I thought Liverpool looked weak today,” he continued. “City appeared stronger, more technically proficient, and physically dominant. While Liverpool had moments of quality, their goal concessions and decision-making were lacking.

“There was a noticeable absence of intensity and energy. The substitutes, when introduced, were ineffective.”

“In my view, Liverpool is indeed facing a crisis.”

After the international break, Liverpool will return to action against Nottingham Forest, followed by a Champions League matchup with PSV. Fans hope the team can find their winning rhythm once again.
