Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Jarvis Thornton has committed to a new two-year deal with the club.
The 20-year-old made his first appearance in the EFL Cup last August and subsequently participated in 27 matches during a challenging Championship season for Wednesday.
As the team prepares for their revitalization in League One, Thornton has chosen to extend his tenure at the club, where he has been since he was eight years old.
“Competing at Championship level has significantly enhanced my skills both on and off the pitch, making me a more professional player and helping me mature faster than I anticipated,” he shared with the club’s website.
“I’m looking forward to building on this and achieving great things for the club this year.”
