England manager Thomas Tuchel retains the FA’s support and is expected to remain in charge through Euro 2028.
A 2-1 loss to Argentina on Wednesday denied England’s men a first World Cup final since 1966.
Tuchel came under fire for his substitutions after England let a 1-0 lead slip late on, but he intends to stay on — a stance fully backed by FA chief executive Mark Bullingham.
He confirmed he will continue under his contract through the home Euros.
Tuchel said he is already looking ahead to the tournament, even if that is difficult in the immediate aftermath of defeat.
He noted that reaching the semi-finals is still an achievement, especially with several major nations going out earlier.
At the same time, he acknowledged that few want to hear that right now — himself included — because the team holds itself to the highest standards.
Tuchel signed a two-year extension in February, having taken the job in January 2025 on an initial 18-month mandate to win the World Cup.
Euro 2028 will be staged across England, Wales, Scotland and the Republic of Ireland.
