If a recent report from Serbian outlet Mozzart Sport is accurate, Rangers have finalized an agreement with Partizan Belgrade for their captain, Vanja Dragojevic. Initially, their bid of approximately £3.8 million was rejected, but a revised offer of £4.6 million has been accepted, with Partizan retaining a 10 percent sell-on clause for any future transfer.
The 20-year-old Serbian international began his career with Altina Zemun and continued his development in Partizan’s youth system. After a loan spell at Teleoptik for first-team opportunities, he struggled to find consistent playing time upon his return. However, the 2025-26 season marked a turning point, where he emerged as a key player after Israeli veteran Bibars Natcho took over as captain following the departure of goalkeeper Aleksandar Jovanovic, often leading the team more than the now-retired midfielder.

Dragojevic has made 52 senior appearances, contributing four goals and five assists mainly as a deep-lying playmaker. His absence from Partizan’s pre-season training camp in Slovenia has only intensified transfer speculation, with sporting director Radosav Petrovic suggesting that more definitive news could be forthcoming.
“There are indications, and I believe we will have more concrete information in the coming days. It’s an offer for Vanja Dragojevic.”
Rangers have already acquired six new players, including Dan Neil and Cammy Devlin, both secured on free transfers after deciding to let their contracts with Sunderland and Hearts expire. Under Derek McInnes, the club aims for a comprehensive midfield overhaul, signaling potential departures as well.
