Arsenals Ben White…

Arsenal defender Ben White and Atletico Madrid’s Giuliano Simeone had a confrontation at half-time during their Champions League semi-final at the Metropolitano Stadium. The two players seemed to exchange words as they headed down the tunnel at the break.

Atletico Madrid equalized with a penalty by Viktor Gyokeres in the first half, followed by a second-half penalty scored by Julian Alvarez, leaving the score tied at 1-1 for the second leg. While the Gunners are considered favorites heading into the next match, Atletico’s performance has instilled confidence ahead of the rematch.

Ben White and Giuliano Simeone’s Confrontation

Although the match was not particularly heated, tensions were palpable as both teams made their way down the tunnel at half-time. Footage from the stands captured Giuliano approaching White, apparently upset about White stepping on the Atletico Madrid crest as they headed to the locker rooms. White reacted negatively to this, prompting Giuliano’s father, Diego Simeone, to intervene and separate them before the situation escalated further.

While they should have the opportunity to meet again at the Emirates in five days, Giuliano’s availability is uncertain. Diego Simeone confirmed that Giuliano is dealing with hip pain, which led to his substitution at half-time for Robin Le Normand. Although there is hope that Giuliano will recover in time, his status is still unclear.

Prior to this situation, Giuliano was already facing fitness issues due to muscle discomfort from his performance in the Copa del Rey final. Nicolas Gonzalez was expected to start in his place but sustained an injury in practice on Tuesday.
