Antonio Conte has suggested he may consider leaving Napoli at the conclusion of the season, despite having secured a spot in the Champions League. “I will always be thankful for this opportunity,” he remarked.
Last week, Napoli thought their top four status was assured, but that changed after an unexpected 3-2 loss to Bologna.
However, they secured their Champions League ticket today with a solid performance against Pisa. Goals by Scott McTominay and Amir Rrahmani ensured an early advantage, followed by Rasmus Hojlund, who scored in stoppage time, breaking his goal drought.
However, during the post-match press conference, Conte seemed to be laying the groundwork for a potential exit.

Conte commented, “There is only one match left. I enjoy a good relationship with the President. I came to Napoli during a challenging period, following a season where they finished 10th and the mood around the club was quite low.”
“I promised that when my time in Napoli concluded, I would leave behind a strong and ambitious team, one that can continually present challenges to its adversaries.”
“Remember, I always said we may not be the strongest, but we must endeavor to be the toughest. Napoli should disrupt the plans of teams like Juventus, Milan, and Inter.”

With Napoli now qualified for the Champions League, the club can start making plans for the next season. Reports indicate a meeting is anticipated between Conte and President Aurelio De Laurentiis, though it might not be necessary.
“The President has known my stance for a month,” the coach disclosed. “We have discussed both the positive aspects and some less favorable issues. My relationship with him remains very stable, and he has always shown faith in me, no matter what happens next year.”
“I will always be grateful to him for giving me the chance to manage this club. You truly need to be on the Napoli bench to appreciate what that experience entails.”
“I’ve always believed that winning and celebrating at Napoli is the ultimate achievement; it holds ten times more value than at any other club.”

Speculation surrounds Conte’s intentions, as there are rumors he might be eyeing a return to the Italy national team, making a departure from Napoli seem plausible.
