We reached out to hear your thoughts after Crystal Palace’s remarkable win in the Conference League final against Rayo Vallecano.
Here are some of your reflections:
Ken: The success of the team and Oliver Glasner is simply remarkable. To finish 15th in the Premier League, lose key players, yet still clinch a European trophy—that’s a historic achievement. Bravo to Glasner and the Crystal Palace squad. It’s a shame that Thomas Tuchel overlooked Adam Wharton for the World Cup instead of the 35-year-old Jordan Henderson.
Tony: I am completely drained. What a journey these past two years have been. For what is often considered a ‘small team’ to achieve this is truly extraordinary. I will always stand with Oliver’s army. Thank you for the unforgettable memories—you have made my dreams a reality. I hope they name a stand after him.
Eafle: As a long-time Palace supporter of over 50 years, I’ve experienced many highs and lows, but I never imagined I’d witness the success of this past year. What’s next? In the past, this would have meant appointing an ineffective manager, leading to relegation. I hope we’re on a brighter path now, but I will continue to support the club, cherishing the memories of what we’ve accomplished.
Mark: It was a beautiful occasion and an honor to be present. I’ve been a Palace fan for 55 years, through thick and thin. What an incredible 12 months it has been! The Rayo Vallecano fans were a remarkable testament to their club—truly amazing.
Andy: I watched from Selhurst Park and couldn’t be prouder to be a Palace fan. We’ve endured years of relegations and financial struggles, and now look at us—FA Cup and Conference League champions! It’s almost unbelievable. Our players deserve endless praise for navigating this incredibly challenging season. And finally… thank you, Oli Glasner. You’ve given us memories and joy that I will treasure forever! Proud to be from South London!
Simon: Absolutely ecstatic! It’s been tough at times, but that’s part of being a Palace supporter—and it’s why we love them. We arguably should have qualified for the Europa League initially, but we did it the Palace way, against the odds… and ultimately, we achieved it! Up the Palace! EAGLES!
Steve: It’s hard to fathom that the club I first watched compete against teams like Gateshead, Barrow, and Accrington Stanley is now a European champion. Once upon a time, winning three trophies in a single year seemed like a distant fantasy. This final might not have been the prettiest, but who cares? Congratulations to everyone at the club, which has always felt like an extended family for so many. Here’s to its continued success!
Jake: A fairytale conclusion to Oliver Glasner’s time with us. Our performance has been inconsistent this season, but we overcame the final hurdle. Thank you, Oli and the entire squad—you’ve made the impossible possible.
