According to Argentine publication OLE, Real Madrid is reportedly set to engage in a transfer struggle with local rivals Atletico Madrid for the Liverpool midfielder, Alexis Mac Allister.
The 27-year-old joined Liverpool from Brighton in 2023, contributing to the team’s EFL Cup victory and Premier League title. However, his performance during the 2025/26 season fell short of expectations.
Reports suggest that his inconsistent form may prompt Liverpool’s Richard Hughes to consider a sale. Mac Allister is contracted until 2028, but if he isn’t transferred soon, the club risks his value diminishing.
Mac Allister Real Madrid Rumors Denied
In a recent report, Erem News from Egypt shared exclusive statements from Mac Allister’s father, Carlos, who dismissed any rumors about Real Madrid’s interest.
“The reports surrounding Alexis are false, and we have not had any official communication from Real Madrid,” he stated.
Earlier this season, the Argentine international expressed that no discussions had begun regarding a new contract with Liverpool. His father reiterated this position in the Erem interview.
“There is no new update on Alexis’ status with Liverpool,” he confirmed.
