Brighton & Hove Albion has successfully outmaneuvered Chelsea and Newcastle United in securing the transfer of AIK’s promising teenage talent, Zadok Yohanna.
According to journalist Florian Plettenberg, the Seagulls have reached an agreement to sign the Nigerian winger on a five-year contract for €30 million.

This transfer will set a record for the highest sale in Swedish top-flight history, surpassing the €20 million that Tottenham Hotspur paid to acquire Lucas Bergvall in 2024.
AIK had previously received offers from Chelsea and Newcastle for the right winger, but he opted to join Brighton after concluding a verbal agreement with them.
The 18-year-old joined AIK from the Nigerian club Ikon Allah last summer, initially playing for the U19s before establishing himself as a starter this season, participating in all seven of his league matches.
He has made a name for himself as one of the most promising wingers in the Swedish league, ranking second in dribbles per 90 minutes and contributing to five goal involvements.

Yohanna is known for his quick acceleration and close ball control, making him an exciting option on the wing.
He will need to elevate his game at Brighton, where he will compete with Yankuba Minteh for a spot in the starting lineup.
Minteh featured in 28 Premier League games last season, providing seven goal involvements.
Fabian Hurzeler’s team secured a seventh-place finish in the Premier League last season, earning a spot in the Europa League. The club will require enhanced depth to effectively manage domestic and European commitments.
