According to Matteo Moretto, Tottenham Hotspur is reportedly keen to provide Sandro Tonali with a central role in their plans, entering the competition to acquire the Italian midfielder as Roberto De Zerbi advocates for a summer transfer.
Tottenham is now “strongly” pursuing Tonali, as stated by Italian transfer expert Matteo Moretto.

The report indicates that Tottenham aims to make Tonali a key figure in their future strategies and is actively negotiating with Newcastle to finalize the deal.

Moretto highlights that other clubs, including Manchester City and Manchester United, have also expressed interest in the player. Additionally, Fabrizio Romano reported last week that Arsenal have also resumed discussions regarding the former Milan star.
Should the move be successful, Tonali would rejoin De Zerbi at Tottenham, who is eager to welcome his fellow compatriot to North London.

Both De Zerbi and Tonali hail from Lombardy; Tonali, born in Lodi, grew up in Brescia, where he made his Serie A debut in 2019. De Zerbi, also from Brescia, has connections to the Milan Youth Sector.
According to Moretto, De Zerbi is advocating for Tonali’s transfer, and the 26-year-old midfielder is receptive to the idea of joining Tottenham this summer.
