Sturm Graz Defender Poised…

Sacha Tavolieri has announced that Standard Liege is close to finalizing the transfer of Dimitri Lavalée from Sturm Graz. The defender, who previously played for KV Mechelen and Sint Truiden, will be returning to the club where his career began, having made only eight appearances before moving in 2020 to Mainz 05. Lavalée is expected to sign a two-year deal, with an option for a third year.

During his time at Mainz 05, Lavalée did not make any first-team appearances, instead spending one and a half seasons on loan at Sint Truiden, where he played 44 matches. In 2022, he left Germany to join KV Mechelen, making 29 appearances during the 2022/2023 season. He then transferred to Sturm Graz, where he has been since 2023, playing 98 games and scoring three goals.

Standard Liege is gearing up for a busy summer as they aim to qualify for European football next season.
