Emotional Stephen…

Stephen Eustaquio was visibly emotional as he dedicated his winning goal to his late parents during Canada’s victory in the FIFA World Cup.

On Sunday, June 28, the midfielder kicked in a dramatic stoppage-time goal against South Africa, securing his team’s advancement to the Round of 16 where they will face either Morocco or the Netherlands on July 4.

During a post-match interview, the 29-year-old was brought to tears when a reporter inquired about his feelings after all he has faced.

In 2023, he lost his mother to brain cancer, and a year later, his father passed away from a heart attack.

“Everything I do is for my family, my parents, my girlfriend, my daughter, and my friends back home. For all of them,” he expressed.
