Manager Stephen Robinson has indicated that he is “two or three” players away from finalizing Aberdeen’s squad for the summer.
The Northern Irish coach shared his thoughts following a 1-0 loss to Twente during their pre-season training in the Netherlands on Saturday.

“It was definitely a challenge against a high-quality team, which is exactly what we aimed for,” Robinson told Red TV.
“We wanted to be pushed and understand what areas need improvement, and also evaluate the fitness levels of the players.”
“The performance was commendable: solid and organized. We pressed effectively at times and could have scored two or three goals, including a potential penalty.”
During Robinson’s first summer transfer window, the club has already secured eight new signings.
“We still need to address a couple of key positions to complete the squad,” he acknowledged.

Moroccan forward Ayoub Mouloua, who joined from Fath Union Sport in the Moroccan top flight, did not play against Twente but may appear in upcoming matches against Ross County on Tuesday or Linfield on Saturday as part of Aberdeen’s pre-season preparations.
“His season just wrapped up three weeks ago, so his fitness levels should still be relatively strong,” Robinson noted.
“He’s a goal scorer, which is what we need. Scottish football can be intense and is unlike any other league globally—there are both positives and negatives. It will take some adjustment, but in terms of fitness, he should be ready to make an impact next week.”
