Lazio is reportedly interested in Fluminense’s center-forward John Kennedy, according to Sky Sport Italia. However, negotiations are still in the early stages, with Watford and Wolves also expressing interest.
The 24-year-old striker, who celebrated his birthday in May, is a product of the Fluminense youth academy and returned to Brazil after a brief loan spell with Pachuca in Mexico.
Kennedy’s Impact at Fluminense
On May 19, during a Copa CONMEBOL Libertadores group match at Maracanã Stadium, Kennedy celebrated scoring his team’s second goal against Bolivar. In 2026, he has netted 14 goals in 35 competitive appearances for Fluminense and provided two assists.
Additionally, he has made six appearances for Brazil’s Under-23 team, scoring once.
Sky Sport Italia has reported that initial discussions between Lazio and Fluminense are taking place as they explore potential ways to secure his transfer.
Kennedy’s services are highly sought after, with interest from English clubs Wolverhampton Wanderers and Watford, among others.
While Cagliari was previously mentioned as a potential suitor, they have since shifted focus to other targets.
