The winner of this matchup will go on to face São Paulo in the tournament’s round of 16, with the second leg required to be held at Morumbi Stadium.

As GrĂȘmio prepares for the match in La Paz, Bolivia, which is situated at a high altitude of 3,637 meters, coach LuĂs Castro is under pressure to perform following a disappointing 2-1 defeat to Mirassol last Friday (17th) after the team returned from the break for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

In comparison to the lineup that concluded the first half of the national league, the 64-year-old Portuguese coach has decided to include Luis Eduardo, Wagner Leonardo, Pedro Gabriel, Dodi, Leo PĂ©rez, Enamorado, and Braithwaite in place of Gustavo Martins, Kannemann, Caio Paulista, Nardoni, Gabriel Mec, Amuzu, and Carlos VinĂcius for GrĂȘmio.
