New Stoke City defender Luke Graham believes his transfer to the club is a significant advancement in his career and considers it the “ideal environment” for his development as a player.
The 22-year-old joined the Potters at the beginning of the month from Dundee in the Scottish Premiership, where he progressed through the youth ranks.

During his breakthrough season at Dens Park, Graham received both the Players’ Player of the Year and Young Player of the Year awards, making 41 appearances across all competitions.
“This feels like the next logical step,” Graham told BBC Radio Stoke after taking time to acclimate during pre-season.
“Training daily with the coaching staff will definitely enhance my abilities as a player.”
Despite finishing a disappointing 17th last season, Stoke boasted one of the best defences in the second tier, having conceded just 56 goals, with only the top four teams allowing fewer.

Graham pointed out that this reflects that he is in the right position to grow as a player.
“Aside from coaching, the players in the defensive lineup are outstanding and there’s strong competition to secure a spot in the team every week,” he noted.
“That competition motivates you to push yourself further in training, and it’s clear why the defence excelled last season.
“Having played in every division in Scotland, moving here to play in the Championship is the next step for me to elevate my game.
“I truly believe this is the perfect place to achieve that.”
