Cameron Congreve, the Wales winger for Swansea City, is on the verge of joining Belgian top-flight club Westerlo for a seven-figure transfer fee.
The 22-year-old, who came through the Swansea academy, showcased his talent during a loan spell with Scottish Premiership club Dundee last season.
His outstanding performances earned him his first senior international caps in friendly matches against Ghana and Romania in June.
While there were expectations that he might secure a spot in Swansea’s first team for the 2026-27 season, the Championship club has opted to facilitate his departure instead.
The agreement will include performance-based add-ons and a sell-on clause, along with the provision for Swansea to match any future bids from other clubs should Westerlo decide to sell Congreve.
Congreve has been with Swansea since he was nine years old, contributing 19 senior appearances, including three league starts, during his time with the club.
During his loan at Dundee, he netted three goals in 36 matches and previously scored six times over 47 appearances while on loan at Bromley in the 2024-25 season.
This transfer follows Swansea’s recent sale of another Welsh international, Liam Cullen, who was transferred to Leicester City on Friday.
