With less than a year left on Raphaël Guerreiro’s contract with Bayern Munich, and no new agreement in sight, the player’s future at Germany’s most decorated club remains in limbo.
As reported by Kicker, discussions regarding Guerreiro’s future took place recently at Bayern’s Säbener Straße headquarters. However, no final decisions have been made yet, as the publication points out that we are still at the beginning of the 2025/26 season, providing ample time for further talks.
Guerreiro, whose contract is set to expire in 2026, has attracted interest from Juventus and will be eligible to negotiate with other teams starting January 1. Nevertheless, according to Kicker, Bayern officials are not concerned about the possibility of losing the Portugal international without a transfer fee. The 31-year-old joined Bayern on a free transfer from Borussia Dortmund in 2023, and the club is not prioritizing a January sale, which would be their last chance to secure a transfer fee.
Given Guerreiro’s adaptability—being capable of playing as left-back, left midfielder, or central midfielder—Bayern would prefer to retain him until the season concludes before making any definitive decisions.
