In a report focusing largely on Morgan Rogers, Gary Jacob of The Times noted that Ben White’s future remains “clouded by injury,” despite interest from Premier League teams such as Everton and Crystal Palace.

Jacob previously reported last month that the defender was “unlikely to take a drop in level” this summer.

As the 2025/26 season approached its conclusion, it started to seem increasingly probable that White would depart in the summer. However, as we near July, the reports surrounding the defender’s future are less definitive.

Jacob highlights that White’s injury is having a notable effect, as a Premier League team that might have previously entertained a sizable bid for a fully fit White may now reconsider or adjust their offer due to his knee issue.

In May, Arsenal confirmed that White had sustained a significant medial knee ligament injury, with plans to have him ready for pre-season training later this year.

This situation may prompt interested clubs to solidify their intentions once they see White back on the pitch. However, if Arsenal receives offers ahead of that, they may not meet the club’s expectations.

If White is also unwilling to accept a significant reduction in level, this could further complicate matters. Overall, it seems increasingly plausible that White may stay put after all.
