Barcelona New Signing Gets…

FC Barcelona’s latest addition, Anthony Gordon, is set to assist England in their bid to secure a spot in the semi-finals of the 2026 World Cup when they take on Norway later tonight.

The winger, who joined Barça this summer from Newcastle United, has increasingly become a vital player for the Three Lions in recent fixtures.

Ahead of this significant quarter-final clash, Gordon received guidance from one of England’s football legends: David Beckham, as reported by Mundo Deportivo.

Beckham Visits England’s Training Camp

England finalized their preparations at the training facilities of Inter Miami, where Beckham, the club’s president and co-owner, greeted Thomas Tuchel’s squad.

Joined by his sons Romeo and Cruz, the former England captain observed a training session before engaging in conversations with several national team members.

Among those he chatted with was Gordon, who appeared fully engaged during their exchange, as they prepared for England’s most significant match of the tournament.

Gordon Aiming for a Starting Role

Following a series of standout performances, Gordon is anticipated to start on the left wing against Norway, taking the place of former Barcelona player Marcus Rashford.

The Barcelona forward has become more influential as the tournament has progressed, likely to be one of England’s key attacking players in their quest to reach the final four.

In four tournament matches so far, Gordon has contributed two assists, both against DR Congo in the Round of 32 after coming on as a substitute.

Starting against Mexico in the Round of 16, the 25-year-old Barcelona winger won the penalty that led to Harry Kane’s winning goal.

Although England enters the match as the favorites, they recognize the challenge they face.

Norway is riding high on confidence after pulling off one of the tournament’s biggest upsets by eliminating Brazil, led by Erling Haaland.

With a spot in the World Cup semi-finals on the line, Gordon will be looking to use Beckham’s words of encouragement to propel England further in the competition.
