Bournemouth Signs Former…

Real Madrid has made significant investments in new players this summer, though it may not be considered extravagant by their standards. The Spanish defender Marc Cucurella is the standout signing, coming in at €55 million, with an additional €5 million potentially in performance-related add-ons. Furthermore, they invested €20 million on Denzel Dumfries.

Conversely, Real Madrid has offset much of these expenditures through sales of academy-trained players. A large portion of this revenue has resulted from the transfer of Nico Paz to Como, while other players, such as Victor Munoz, have also contributed to boosting the club’s finances.

Moreover, Real Madrid expected to gain financial returns from the sale of forward Alvaro Rodriguez. An agreement for his transfer from Elche to Premier League’s Bournemouth was reached days ago, but the deal was pending finalization due to medical tests.

As reported by Diario AS, all pending matters have now been resolved, and the transfer has been officially announced today. The English club will pay €25 million upfront, plus an additional €5 million contingent on performance-related variables.

When Rodriguez was sold to Elche for €2 million last year, Real Madrid retained 50% of any future transfer fee. Following a strong season with Elche, Rodriguez has now made the jump to the Premier League, resulting in a net gain of roughly €12.5 million for Real Madrid. This figure could rise further should he meet the conditions for the extra €5 million in performance-related incentives.

It’s hoped that Alvaro Rodriguez will continue to excel in England, showcasing the high quality emerging from the Real Madrid academy.
