Caressa Cautions: Inter…

Fabio Caressa has observed that Inter Milan appears to be experiencing signs of mental fatigue, similar to what Liverpool and Barcelona have faced after years of high-level competition under the relentless pressure to secure victories.

During his appearance on Radio Deejay’s “Deejay Football Club,” with quotes via FCInter1908, the seasoned journalist highlighted the Nerazzurri’s recent difficulties in asserting their dominance in matches.

Even with their victories against Verona and Kairat Almaty, he expressed concerns that the team’s mental acuity might be diminishing.

“I believe Inter is somewhat mentally exhausted,” Caressa stated.

“They have been playing every match, two or three times a week, for years now, all under the same expectation to win.

“This accumulates over time.”

He drew a parallel between Inter’s current struggles and those of Liverpool and Barcelona.

These clubs have also experienced inconsistencies following prolonged periods of success.

“It’s the same issue Liverpool is facing this year, as well as Barcelona,” he noted.

“These teams have operated at such intensity for years.

“This style of football is more draining, particularly when you’re consistently at the top,” he added.

Caressa also emphasized that Cristian Chivu’s squad must carefully manage their energy levels moving forward.

He suggested that doing so could prevent further declines throughout the season.

“Playing for fourth place is one thing; competing for first is another.

“If Inter can’t find a strategy to manage this, they risk ongoing lapses this season, which could prove costly given their playing style.”
