Johnston made her move to Perth Glory from the Football West National Training Centre in 2023 and spent two years with the team before playing for Preston Lions and Keilor Park. She returned to Glory for the 2025/2026 season.
Internationally, Johnston has represented Australia at various youth levels, including the Under-23 team.
Upon joining Charlton Athletic, Johnston expressed her enthusiasm, saying, “I am thrilled to be here and eager to get started. It has always been my dream to play in England, and I can’t wait to compete with and against some of the best players in the world.
“These past three years have been fantastic for my development, and I’m looking forward to experiencing some colder weather this season.”
Johnston is the second player to sign for Charlton Athletic during the summer transfer window.
