Chelsea has finalized the signing of England international Morgan Rogers from Aston Villa in a record-breaking £117 million deal.
The 23-year-old has signed a contract that will keep him at the club until 2033, fending off interest from Arsenal and several other Premier League teams.

Rogers stated that Chelsea’s long-term vision under new manager Xabi Alonso played a significant role in his decision to join the club.

During his time there, he notched up 40 goal contributions in just 85 league matches, contributing to Villa’s top-four finish and their Europa League victory last season.
Rogers adds another versatile attacking option for Alonso, capable of playing across the front line or in a support role behind the striker.
His strength, creativity, and direct style of play will provide Chelsea with a fresh dynamic.
His long-term friendship with Cole Palmer, with whom he grew up in Manchester City‘s academy, should facilitate his integration into the squad.
