David Alaba Could Reunite…

This summer, one of the most notable changes for Real Madrid will occur in their defense. While the midfield and attacking lineup is likely to remain largely intact—with potential influences from new signings such as Rodri Hernandez and Yan Diomande—the backline is already undergoing a major transformation.

The club has bolstered its defense with the acquisition of three new players, including World Cup champion Marc Cucurella, Ibrahima Konate, and Denzel Dumfries.

On the flip side, two key players have departed at the end of last season: Dani Carvajal and David Alaba. Even after more than a month since their exit from Real Madrid, neither player has yet announced their next club.

Carvajal had the entire summer to explore his options as he was not called up for the World Cup. Meanwhile, Alaba led his national team into the Round of 32, only to be eliminated by Spain, the eventual champions.

Following his World Cup stint, Alaba is currently vacationing in Miami, and according to reports from Diario AS, this location could play a crucial role in his future, particularly with Inter Miami reportedly showing interest in signing him.

Despite a dip in his performance levels since suffering an ACL injury in December 2023, Alaba still has several years left in professional football. David Beckham’s team seeks to add him to an impressive lineup featuring Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, and their recent recruit, Casemiro.

Additionally, Alaba has another opportunity in Europe with AC Milan, where he could reunite with Luka Modric, with whom he enjoyed a fruitful partnership at Real Madrid.
