Eric Roy Pursues Exit from…

The departure of Grégory Lorenzi from Stade Brestois has been officially announced. The manager he brought on board, who unexpectedly led the team to the UEFA Champions League, may also be on the move, as reported by Mohamed Toubache-Ter.

Lorenzi’s departure from Brest is confirmed. The Corsican, who spent a decade with Les Ty-Zéfs, is expected to join Olympique de Marseille, although a prior agreement with OGC Nice is currently stalling the transfer.

Concerns also surround the future of Eric Roy. The French manager, who led Brest into the UCL, offered vague responses when asked about his future on the last day of the Ligue 1 season. When inquired whether he would stay with Brest next season, Roy stated he “didn’t know.” He added, “I am under contract. There is no reason for me not to be here, but lots of things can happen in life,” during his press meeting.

Roy has voiced frustrations regarding the club’s lack of investment lately and concluded by expressing that he “needs positive signs” to consider staying at Brest. Toubache-Ter senses that he might not receive those assurances either, as he is also contemplating his departure.
