As Como played their final home game of the season, they were already assured of qualification for a European competition. As a result, club personnel formed a guard of honour prior to the match.
“I want everyone to enjoy this journey; otherwise, what’s the point? Everyone needs to appreciate everything we’re accomplishing,” Fabregas emphasized.
“This has been the most significant and special season in our club’s history, and we’re achieving this as a collective.”
While Como has been one of the highest spenders in Serie A over the past two years, Fabregas maintained that their success stems from more than just financial investments.

“Ultimately, our salary cap is less than that of the teams ahead of us. I’ve experienced a long journey in football, had many special moments, and now we need to savor every moment until the very end.”
Como’s season finale is scheduled for next week against Cremonese.
