Significant changes appear to be on the horizon for Liverpool’s midfield this off-season.
The Reds are reportedly interested in acquiring players such as Lamine Camara and Adam Wharton. However, for new players to join Anfield, some current squad members will have to make way.

One midfielder seemingly on his way out is Curtis Jones. The 25-year-old has become a homegrown sensation at Liverpool, clinching two Premier League titles since breaking into the team under Jurgen Klopp.
However, the England international’s contract runs until 2027, and securing a new agreement seems highly unlikely at this point.
Curtis Jones Set to Join Inter Milan
This summer presents the final chance for Richard Hughes to secure a reasonable transfer fee for Jones. Although there were discussions in January, when Inter and Tottenham showed interest, Jones chose to remain with Liverpool.
However, the playmaker has struggled to secure a starting spot under Arne Slot, often finding himself on the sidelines or even playing as a right-back.

Now, his potential transfer appears increasingly certain, with Inter and Liverpool currently engaged in negotiations regarding his move to the Italian club.
According to renowned Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the primary sticking point seems to be the valuation of the deal.
Inter and Liverpool Negotiating Jones’ Transfer Fee
“Inter are actively working on the Curtis Jones deal as negotiations proceed,” he stated on X. “He was a top target in January and continues to be a priority for Inter’s midfield.”
“Jones is interested in joining Inter, and the clubs are in communication. However, an agreement is not imminent as the proposed €20m fee is deemed inadequate; the deal remains in progress.”

Previously, Richard Hughes had maintained a £35m price tag for Jones, but that figure has recently been approximated to around €30m.
This indicates that a consensus might be nearing between the two sides, and it appears likely that Jones will fulfill his wish for a transfer.
Unfortunately, Slot seems to favor other midfield options, and despite Jones’ reputation as one of the finest progressive passers, it looks like his time at Anfield is coming to a close.
